Former Foes Donald Cerrone, Anthony Pettis Train Together at Jackson-Wink MMA

While their fight at UFC on Fox 6 lasted less than three minutes, Anthony Pettis and Donald Cerrone spent considerably more time in the cage together on Tuesday morning.

“Cowboy” posted a photo on his Instagram account revealing that the former UFC and WEC lightweight king made a visit to Jackson-Wink MMA in Albuquerque, N.M. Apparently, the sparring session between Cerrone and Pettis drew quite the audience.

“I’m pretty sure the entire gym no one sparred, they just stood around the cage and watched [Pettis] and me go [five] rounds,” Cerrone wrote.

Pettis, who is based at Roufusport in Milwaukee, defeated Cerrone via knockout 2:35 into the opening round of their January 2013 encounter, bringing a swift halt to the lightweight contest with a perfectly placed kick to the liver.

Pettis is slated to meet Edson Barboza at UFC 197 on April 23, while Cerrone is booked to face Patrick Cote at UFC Fight Night in Ottawa on June 18.
