By The Numbers: Christian Lee vs. Rae Yoon Ok

One Championship was wise to pin its hopes on Christian Lee as a homegrown talent.

“The Warrior” will put his undisputed lightweight title on the line when he confronts divisional upstart Rae Yoon Ok in the One Championship “Revolution” main event on Friday at Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore. Lee enters the cage on the strength of a six-fight winning streak. He last appeared at One on TNT 2, where he took care of Timofey Nastyukhin with punches just 73 seconds into their April 14 pairing. Ok, meanwhile, has rattled off four consecutive victories. He last competed on April 28, when he upset former Bellator MMA and Ultimate Fighting Championship titleholder Eddie Alvarez by unanimous decision in their three-round One on TNT 4 confrontation.

As Lee and Ok make their final preparations, a look at some of the numbers that have accompanied them to this point:

23: Years of age for Lee, who was born on June 21, 1998 in Vancouver, British Columbia.

4: Lee victories by submission, accounting for 27% of his career total (15). His methods of choice: one by kimura, one by brabo choke, one by triangle armbar and one by guillotine choke. Lee owns 10 other victories by knockout or technical knockout and one more by decision.

11: First-round finishes on the Lee resume but only one of the sub-minute variety. He cut down David Meak with punches 29 seconds into his professional debut at One Championship “Spirit of Champions” on Dec. 11, 2015.

861: Days spent by Lee as the undisputed One Championship lightweight titleholder. He remains one of only five fighters who have captured the Singapore-based company’s 170-pound championship. The others? Kotetsu Boku, Shinya Aoki, Eduard Folayang and Martin Nguyen.

.684: Cumulative winning percentage between the two men—Nguyen (twice) and Edward Kelly—who have beaten Lee. They boast a combined record of 26-12.

30: Years of age for Ok, who was born in Busan, South Korea, on March 23, 1991.

10: Ok wins by decision, accounting for 67% of his career total (15). He owns one other win by submission—he tapped Burenzorig Batmunkh with a rear-naked choke in their Double G Fighting Championship 4 rematch on July 25, 2020—and four more by knockout or technical knockout.

55: Seconds needed for Ok to wipe out Eun Seok Park with a flying knee and follow-up punches at Angel’s Fighting Championship 3 on April 29, 2017. Though it occurred more than four years ago, it remains the fastest finish of his 18-fight career.

8: Promotions in which Ok has competed as a mixed martial artist. He has gone 3-1 in Heat, 3-0 in Wu Lin Feng, 2-0 in One Championship, 2-0 in Double G Fighting Championship, 2-0 in Sun Fighting Championship, 1-1 in WBK, 1-1 in Angel’s Fighting Championship and 1-0 in Neo Blood Fight Night.

38: Combined victories between the three men—Batmunkh, Tom Santos and Yadong Song—who have defeated Ok. They sport a cumulative winning percentage of .585 (38-26-1).
