By The Numbers: Kevin Holland vs. Daniel Rodriguez

Few paid much attention to Daniel Rodriguez when he joined the Ultimate Fighting Championship roster as a short-notice replacement for Ramazan Emeev two-plus years ago. Public perception has certainly changed.

Now armed with a 6-1 record inside the Octagon, “D-Rod” will test his wits and fists against Kevin Holland in a UFC 279 catchweight attraction—they agreed to meet at 180 pounds—on Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Rodriguez enters the cage on the strength of a three-fight winning streak. He last appeared at UFC on ESPN 30, where he outstruck Kevin Lee to a unanimous decision in their Aug. 28, 2021 pairing. Holland, meanwhile, has rattled off back-to-back victories. He last competed on June 18, when he dispatched Tim Means with a brabo choke in the second round of their UFC on ESPN 37 clash.

As Holland and Rodriguez make final preparations ahead of their forthcoming confrontation, a look at some of the numbers that have accompanied them to this point:

29: Years of age for Holland, who was born on Nov. 5, 1992 in Riverside, California.
